Thanks Jan! Another benefit is that if the student qualifies for work study, the state of Washington will pay a good chunk of their salary, decreasing your cost and helping the student.

Great suggestion Jan. As the founder of InternMatch we have seen a ton of small businesses and startups take advantage of qualified design students to tackle projects from creating marketing collateral to doing UI work. In fact we hired a Seattle University designer who made hand-outs, business cards, and more for us -- all projects that could have been very costly otherwise.

As far as trade schools, the Art Institute of Seattle is a great one. Thanks for the informative post for all the boot strappers out there.
